Those Who Perished
HEADSTONES - ST. PETER'S CHURCHYARD North East of Church near the East Gate to Church Road North
|
Collected by Gordon Sollors
|
Boys who died whilst living on the Formidable were buried at St. Peter's Church in Portishead.
Gordon said that some of the grave stones were broken, and it was not an easy task to get them all copied into his notebook.
We are very grateful that he did take the time to do this,
as it is probably the only list of Formidable lads from the ship who died onboard that we will ever have.
